Merv at Springhead Funeral Service came highly recommended by a family friend, who had used his services in the past.  l am extremely grateful for that because Merv exceeded all of my expectations! Initially he was in the process of arranging one funeral for our family then unexpectedly we had another loss. He then had the task of arranging a double funeral (*not of the same faith*) on the same day at different locations. His empathy, respect & sympathetic nature was paramount. Now having laid both our relatives to rest, we are so thankful we chose him to help us coordinate such a huge task! Merv ensured our family always felt like we were a priority which was reassuring and also very comforting too. No matter how big or small the matter, we had his direct phone number to communicate with him around the clock when necessary. When collecting the body from the family home, the way that this was carried out was so respectful, it made a very good first impression to us. Merv also helped to relieve the anxiety of a family member who had never seen a deceased person before. Merv’s attention to detail is impeccable and often when I’d call him to mention something, majority of the time, it was already done. I really appreciated this! Knowing that we could trust & rely on Merv to co-ordinate both funerals efficiently, allowed us to handle & plan other affairs whilst mourning. Lee, William and the team at Springhead dealt with my mother in laws funeral arrangements on the 12th if july at Barnsley nothing was any trouble at all always on hand when needed to contact them or sort any details out or update them with any new information, I deffinatly would recommend them first class service very proffesional and very reasonably priced, thankyou for looking after Joan in your care god bless tou all many thanks mr ellis and family xx

We cannot thank Merv enough for the care, compassion, and professionalism he showed our family during such a difficult time. From the very beginning, he was always at the end of the phone, regardless of the day or time, offering support, guidance, and reassurance whenever we needed it. He treated us with kindness, respect, and genuine care, making us feel as though we were his only priority. Every detail was handled with dignity and professionalism, helping to ease some of the stress during a very emotional period. We were also incredibly grateful to receive Dad's ashes back within 24 hours, which meant a great deal to our family. Merv at Springheads Funeral Directors has been truly incredible in helping us through one of the hardest times of our lives while arranging my mum’s funeral. From the very first meeting, he treated us with such genuine kindness, compassion, patience, and respect that we immediately felt supported and cared for. Merv has such a calm and reassuring presence, and nothing was ever too much trouble. He guided us through every step with sensitivity and understanding, making an overwhelming and heartbreaking time feel far less frightening and stressful. Excellence service. It’s really difficult to have to organise something so quickly after losing a loved one but they made everything so easy and comfortable. When I phoned them, I spoke to Caroline who was just amazing. She very quickly had my dad moved from the hospice to them, and from there onwards helped us to arrange a lovely funeral. She also recommended us James to conduct the service who I would highly recommend….he took the time to listen to what we wanted, and everyone said what a lovely service it was.
